CARPEX / WINDEX 2012 have been cancelled.

Owing to the greatly enhanced marketing opportunity offered by the Cleaning Show 2013, which is co-locating with the IMHX International Materials Handling Show, several traditional Carpex/Windex exhibitors have elected to use a greater percentage and in some cases all of their marketing budget for this event.

Visitor numbers at the Cleaning Show 2013 are expected to significantly increase thanks to the co-location with IMHX, making this an event that no serious supplier to the cleaning and allied markets can afford to miss.

Few companies wish to attend both Carpex/Windex and the Cleaning Show 2013, and as a consequence Carpex/Windex 2012 has been cancelled.

The next Carpex/Windex exhibition will therefore take place in 2014.

Carpex/Windex 2012 – full details announced

The organisers of Carpex/Windex 2012, being staged at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 3-4 October 2012, are looking forward to the most successful event ever.

Martin Scott, exhibition sales director, said: “Carpex/Windex is tailor-made for carpet & upholstery equipment and window cleaning equipment manufacturers and suppliers to market, sell and promote their products and services to a highly targeted audience – and the 2012 event will have more to offer than ever before.”

Carpex/Windex is organised every two years by Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd, publisher of C&M, with the support of the National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA) and the Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC).

The previous event, staged in 2010, also at the Ricoh Arena, attracted 2491 professionals from the carpet and window cleaning industries who visited the show during the two days, with almost 75% of them (1835) having a direct responsibility for purchasing.

Martin Scott continued: “Despite the tough economic situation the quality and number of visitors to the 2010 event surpassed our expectations. 59% of the visitors were proprietors of either window cleaning companies, carpet & upholstery cleaning companies, contract cleaners, or distributors – with a combined annual spend on cleaning equipment of over £300 million.”

Nikki Vaughan-Smith, Marketing Manager of Contico Manufacturing Ltd, said “Windex 2010 exceeded all our expectations - not only us at Contico but also our guests who had especially flown from Pulex, Italy for the two day event. The show provided an excellent launch pad to promote the new Pulex ‘Technolite’ squeegee. We succeeded in our objective of reaching the professional window cleaner quickly and effectively, demonstrating and proving without question the benefits and advantages in using the new product. The ‘buy one get one free’ offer certainly got it started, and the Contico stand never stopped from beginning to end…”

Shaun Bradbury, managing director of Dry Fusion UK, said of the previous event: “Carpex/Windex marked a real high point for Dry Fusion as we had worked so hard in the months prior to the show to finalise and perfect the many new products that we planned to launch at the event. These included the completely revamped Dry Fusion carpet cleaning system and the new Cristal Fusion upholstery cleaning system. Despite prior reservations about how busy it would be in the current climate, we had a fantastic show with a great deal of interest in the new machines and products.”

With the market showing real signs of recovery, the organisers are confident that the 2012 event will surpass the high standards achieved in 2010. To make sure you are part of a winning formula, please contact Martin Scott on: Tel: 01895 454438
